Heather Hickson-Vega is a Board Certified Acupuncture Physician and Herbalist based in Jupiter, Florida, with a strong focus on Functional Medicine. Her journey to becoming a healer began in her childhood, igniting a passion for natural remedies and holistic approaches to health. Heather obtained her Bachelor's degree in Alternative Medicine from Everglades University, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Health Science and a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine. 

Driven by a deep-rooted curiosity and a desire to understand the intricate web of factors that contribute to diseases, Heather immersed herself in extensive research, didactic courses, and seminars on integrative nutrition, naturopathy, wellness, and mind-body work. Her thirst for knowledge led her to become a master in Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy, sharing her expertise as an instructor in Food Healing, empowering others to take charge of their own health and well-being. 

As a licensed Acupuncturist, Heather firmly believes in the power of functional medicine and incorporates its principles into her practice. She embraces NSEV™, a modern adaptation of ancient Chinese medicine and acupuncture, which focuses on identifying and addressing a person's core patterns of functioning. This approach provides a comprehensive understanding of her patients' health issues and allows her to tailor treatments to their unique needs. Drawing from her extensive knowledge, Heather combines ancient herbs, nutrition, and functional medicine with a range of therapeutic modalities, including vitamin injection therapy, Biomat therapy, moxibustion, cupping, magnet therapy with Ion pumping cords, Reiki, medical tuning forks, sound therapy, Homeopathy, IET and shared group acupuncture.
